We can now add Hayley to our family of Ratu Kini PADI Rescue Divers. Congratulations on completing the course and getting your certification Hayley! Maciu was volunteered as the terrible diver that she had to constantly rescue. As Hayley found during the course, if the mouth to mouth doesn't work there are always other ways to revive the unresponsive diver

Awesome diving this afternoon at Turtle Patch with Smitty. The turtles were out in force today. At least 4 different sightings at different points on the dive, but definitely not the same turtle each time. Water is still a beautiful 29 degreesC and the vis was around 15m but expect it to keep getting better as the week progresses.
Super awesome effort by our newest PADI Open Water student Kateryna who finished her course this morning! While doing her course she managed to see Grey Reef and White Tip Reef Sharks, Spotted Garden Eels, Anemone Fish and the other 100's of tropical fish in the clear waters that we dive here. Also had Snorri and Heiddis out with us to The Supermarket checking out the sharks. Awesome to dive with you guys. Come back soon!
Here at Ratu Kini we love it when we see sharks on our dives. The grace and beauty of these underwater predators is just something special. The opposition to shark finning has been growing in the previous few years, but we can still do more. Let us know what you think.

Last week some of the PADI dive resort owners and dive managers attended a 2 day PADI Academy at Novotel in Nadi. The training was about using the provided tools in marketing, internet and technology , to reach Fiji dive audience. Thank you PADI Asia Pacific.

A happening two days at Ratu Kini. Marysia completed her Padi Open Water course and had brilliant time doing it. Just remember to keep that pokerface on! Sky, Katie and Nicholas went and tried out their hand at the Discover Scuba Diver course. Awesome work you three! Keep it up. Saphire and Liam diving with us for the last few days and were with us when we met a very special guest. A 3m wide Manta Ray cruising past the island! Hopefully a sign of more to come.
Congratulations to Erin and Jens!! The newest members to the Ratu Kini Dive Resorts' PADI Open Water diver family. Managed to fly through their certification and on the way got to see Whitetip, Blacktip and Grey reef sharks. As well as play with a beautiful endangered Hawksbill Sea Turtle. Can't wait to see you both back under the water real soon!
Well done to Grant our newest PADI Open Water diver! Had a brilliant last dive at The Supermarket seeing Grey and Whitetip Reef Sharks and a cute little Green Turtle. You have another sport to keep you busy now whenever the waves are not pumping. Hopefully the break between coming back to Mana will not be as big as last time.
Went fishing this morning and got 3 nice size walus, Spanish mackerels, and the guest will enjoy this at the restaurant in the next couple of days. Two guests are signed up for tomorrow when they saw the catch.
